Garth Brooks

Garth Brooks: is an American country music artist who helped make country music a worldwide phenomenon. Brooks' integration of rock elements into his recordings and live performances has earned him immense popularity. Here he performs “I’ve Got Friends In Low Places”.  This unedited concert and statue dedication was shot for Buck Owens Productions outside the Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, Calif. 

 

A huge stage was constructed as well as bleachers and chairs to accommodate over 7,000 fans. Besides being one of the honorees of the concert, the most memorable part of the concert was the surprise proposal by Brooks to his long-time girlfriend and fellow country music singer, Trisha Yearwood. She excitedly said “yes.”
